Thomas Pöllmann, Jahrgang 1969 wächst im Hochsauerland auf und zieht 1995 nach Berlin. Schon früh beschäftigt er sich mit Räumen und deren Einrichtung. Dabei hat er immer den Raum als Ganzes im Blick. Neben Farben und Formen spielen Energien und deren Qualitäten eine wichtige Rolle. Nach dem Motto, „einen Raum gut zu gestalten ist eigentlich ganz einfach, man braucht nur ein paar schöne Möbel und vor allem gute Kunst“ berät er Kunden und gestaltet Räume im In- und Ausland.
Seine Inspirationen holt er sich dabei unter anderem auf seinen Reisen. Im Zusammenhang mit der Einrichtung der deutschen Auslandsvertretungen des Auswärtigen Amtes führten ihn diese in mehr als 30 Länder auf 6 Kontinenten.
Neben dem Zeichnen widmet er sich seit einigen Jahren intensiv der abstrakten Malerei. In seinem Atelier in Berlin entstehen sowohl kleine als auch großformatige Ölbilder auf unterschiedlichen Malgründen. Bei seiner Arbeit spielt Intuition die zentrale und der Zufall eine große Rolle und es ist ihm wichtig, dass ein Bild entsteht und nicht gewollt ist. Bis ein Werk vollendet ist, können Monate vergehen.
Seine Bilder hängen in Wohnungen, Büro- und Konferenzräumen, Foyerbereichen und auch im Bundeskanzleramt in Berlin.

In addition to drawing, he has devoted himself intensively to abstract painting for several years. In his studio in Berlin he creates oil paintings – small and large-format are created on different painting grounds. In his work, intuition plays a central role and the coincidence plays a big role and it is important to him that a picture is created and not wanted. It can takes several months for a work to be completed.
His paintings are placed in apartments, office and conference rooms, foyer areas and also in the Federal Chancellery in Berlin.
